Micho is the boss at Pirates – Davids

Orlando Pirates assistant coach Fadlu Davids says he and Rhulani Mokwena are allowed to give their input but coach Micho Sredojevic makes the final decision on what needs to happen with the team.

There have been rumours that Sredojevic is not in charge of the team but that there are people pulling the strings and making the final decisions behind closed doors.

The rumour was fuelled by Bafana Bafana midfielder Bongani Zungu suggesting that Sredojevic was taking credit for the work done by Mokwena the same way Pitso Mosimane did  at Mamelodi Sundowns.

“I think it is a normal technical team situation, where you have two assistants lead by one head coach, the final decision is with the head coach. Analysing the game, the match preparation is done way in advance through our analysts and us as the three technical team members mainly from the tactical side, it’s a normal technical team you have it all over the world, on match day like I said the head coach makes the decision,” said Davids.

“My input and Rhulani’s are  always valued, always taken seriously by the head coach but the final decision is made by the coach.”
