Micho deserves Coach-of-the-Season – Pitso
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has backed his counterpart Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic to walk away with the coveted Coach-of-the-Season award.

Although Mosimane won the league ahead of Orlando Pirates, he says Sredojevic should be considered for the accolade for improving the Buccaneers’ log position from last season’s 11th place finish, to putting up a runners-up display this season.
“I think Micho must also get a chance to win Coach-of-the-Season. Orlando Pirates have been one of the top teams, they beat us 3-1,” Mosimane said.
“Let’s be honest, he took the team from 11th and look where they are. Micho deserves a chance, but we know there are cheerleaders out there who don’t even give Micho a chance,” Mosimane said of the Serbian.
Mosimane, who has said SuperSport TV anchor Robert Marawa and analyst Farouk Khan don’t want him to win the gong, said instead, they were “punting” for Maritzburg’s Fadlu Davids. Mosimane said the best way to silence his critics was by winning trophies with the Brazilians and increasing the gap between Masandawana and the Team of Choice.
“I have been through a lot, the SuperSport 4 people have not given me a chance and the credit, but it is okay. The best way for me to wrap it up is on the pitch. But it is okay, it is of those guys, and the only way to reply is to raise a trophy,” said the former Bafana Bafana coach.
He added: “We need to show integrity and the difference of points [16 points] between us and Maritzburg. I think a little bit of respect can come a little bit if we widen the gap. Maybe all these talks can come down a bit.”
