According to a source, Mbule, who is currently injured, lacks work ethic and is taking things lightly, which is derailing his progress to become one of the best midfielders in the country.
The former SuperSport United midfielder has not been able to command a starting berth at Downs, but had been getting some game time before his injury and showed glimpses of his quality.

It is said that the Sundowns technical team, including head coach Rulani Mokwena, are worried about Mbule’s behaviour – they regard him highly see him as someone in the future plans of the team. But, Mbule’s attitude towards his career makes them doubt if he will reach his full potential.
“I don’t know if Sipho has become big-headed or what, but he doesn’t want to listen to anyone. There is no doubt that he is talented, but the way he conducts himself is wrong and he will end up not becoming a top player that he is meant to be. He shows lack of interest at training sometimes and he is not really working hard to be at the top of his game,” said a source.
