Strict Chiefs coach Zwane won’t sign Jali

A source in the Kaizer Chiefs camp has revealed that midfielder Andile Jali will never play for the club. This comes after a lot of rumours linking the veteran midfielder with the Naturena-based outfit.

Jali, who is currently contracted with Mamelodi Sundowns, is said to be on his way out of the club at the end of the season, when his contract comes to an end.

The midfielder has been strongly linked with Amakhosi, but he has also been linked with his former club Orlando Pirates.

Jali has spent many years at Pirates and he was part of the squad that won the double treble at the club. His strong link with Chiefs comes after falling out with some of the Sundowns management, and that is apparently one of the reasons why he won’t be signed by Amakhosi.

The Matatiele born player is said to be very stubborn and he doesn’t want to listen to anyone, especially coaches hence his time with Sundowns is ending very badly.

“There is no way that coach Arthur (Zwane) would allow such nonsense (bad behaviour) from him. Arthur is a very disciplined guy and he wants people who listen and learn … Jali is not that kind of a person,” said a source.

“Jali is stubborn and he thinks that he knows it all because of what he has achieved in his career. You can see why everything is not going well for him at the moment. If you remember very well, that’s what happened when he first signed with the club.

“He thought he was going to walk into the starting line-up because of what he has done in the past. But, that wasn’t the case, he had to work hard and at Chiefs they won’t stand for something like that. So, there is no way that he will be signed, Chiefs is not a small team and there will never be a player who is bigger than the team.”

The 33-years old Jali joined Sundowns back in 2018 after ending his stay with KV Oostende in Belgium, where he stayed for four years.
