Stars set to offer former Bucs defender a new deal

Free State Stars preparing to extend the contract of leftback Patrick Phungwayo for two more years after he impressed observers in the last couple of months.


A reliable source withinLla Koto revealed this to Phakaaathi.

The powerful defender joined the club from Orlando Pirates prior to the start of the current season, signing a one-year deal with the team.

“Everyone is impressed with his contribution to the club, therefore the club’s management has decided to offer him a new contract for a further two years. The problem is that there are other Premiership teams interested in him, so Stars have to act quickly in order to encourage him to stay at the club,” said the source.
