Salary demands stall Phala’s move away from SuperSport

News coming out from SuperSport United is that Thuso Phala’s move away from the club was hindered by his high salary demands, and other clubs were not willing to break the bank for a 32-year-old.

Orlando Pirates were listed among Phala’s suitors but various attempts to lure the veteran winger from the Pretoria-based side fell through because of Phala’s high demands.

Phala is set to see off his final six months at Matsatsantsa A Pitori and his frustration on the sidelines could continue as he has seen very little game time since Kaitano Tembo took over towards the end of last season.
