DStv Premiership rookies Royal AM could find themselves in a situation where their dressing is divided because of how the club’s top brass, mainly owner Shawn Mkhize and chairman, Andile Mpisane, are running their financial affairs.

The pair were seen dishing out hard cash after they beat Martizburg United 2-1 in a. KwaZulu-Natal derby on Sunday.
While all of the players appreciate the gesture, some feel it would have been appropriate for the club to deposit their bonuses in their bank accounts instead of having cash thrown around at them on the pitch.
“No one will say no to money but we need to understand that we are in a professional set-up and all of this needs to be handled as such. Some of the players feel like the club is just doing all of this for the buzz on social media,” said a source within the club.
Royal AM, backed by the Mkhize millions, bought the status of Bloemfontein Celtic to grab a place in this season’s DStv Premiership. After two defeats to start the season, the side have done superbly, winning four league games on the spin, including a 4-1 hammering of Kaizer Chiefs.
