Free State Stars are fighting to make a deal with players to stay on at the club in order to try and help them win the National First Division next season.
According to a source at the club, bosses at Ea Lla Koto are already trying to convince the squad to fight their way back to the PSL, but it won’t be easy.
“We never saw this coming, this is a big shock and a club like Free State Stars doesn’t deserve [it]. That is why the guys at the top are trying to convince the players to go down with the club to the NFD and fight back to the PSL. I think the big issue will be money, so, I hope the guys will understand they won’t be getting the same salaries,” said a source.
