A source close to defender Marc van Heerden has revealed that he wants to go back to the coast and the recent incident has fuelled his desire to leave the City of Gold.

“He was with his wife in Bryanston when the incident happened. Now he is really trying to get Pirates to allow him to go to any team in Durban or Cape Town, which is his preferred destination. He said he would gladly rejoin Chippa United as well if that were to be an option for him,” said the source.
The 29-year-old leftback joined the Buccaneers last season but his progress has been hindered by injury.
