Memela’s current deal with Pirates is set to expire at the end of the 2018/19 season.
“Pirates have offered him a one year contract with an option to renew for a further year,” a source told Phakaaathi.

The source added that Pirates could lose Memela for free because he was not happy with the offer.
“He wants a two-year contract because he believes that at 31, this could be his last big contract.”
Memela joined Pirates from National First Division side Cape Town All Stars in July 2015.
The Paarl-born attacker has become an integral part in the Pirates squad, scoring vital goals for Bucs.
He has scored four goals in 11 league appearances this season.
