Following the return of a number of players from injury at Orlando Pirates, an insider has revealed that striker Monnapule Saleng, who was being considered for an early return from his loan spell at Swallows FC, will now finish the season at the Birds.

The Buccaneers have been hit by scores of injuries at the club already this season, which has destabilised as co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids have found it hard to find the right balance in the squad.
Saleng was said to be on top of the list to be recalled, but the decision is apparently being held back now.
“At the moment it doesn’t seem like he will be back at the club in January. I think you have seen that the injury list is starting to decrease and there is no longer panic in the squad. Another thing is that two or three key players will be fully fit when we come back next year. So, bringing Saleng now will only be unfair to him because he will be coming into a squad which is already on the same mindset when it comes to the philosophy of the coaches, so they think he must just keep on playing at Swallows,” said a source.
