A source close to SuperSport United midfielder George Lebese has told Phakaaathi that the player was not keen to return to Mamelodi Sundowns when his loan deal expired.
Lebese joined Matsatsantsa on a six-month loan deal from Sundowns on the last day of the January transfer period.
“He (Lebese) is enjoying his stay at SuperSport and does not mind making it [permanent]. One thing though, he does not want to return to Sundowns. He says if SuperSport do not want to sign him permanently then Sundowns should release him so that he could join a team of his choice,” said a source close to the former Kaizer Chiefs winger.

Lebese still has a contract with Sundowns that runs until June next year.
But with Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane coming out to admit that Lebese’s move to the Brazilians did not work out, chances are that Sundowns are going to release the winger at the end of the season.
As reported by Phakaaathi earlier, he is not the only player facing the exit door at Sundowns, with the likes of Oupa Manyisa, Mogakolodi Ngele, Thokozani Sekotlong, Sibusiso Khumalo, and Cuthbert Malajila all said to be on their way out of the Pretoria club.
