Siyabonga Nomvethe is set to stay for another season at National First Division team, AmaZulu FC as the 39-year-old striker seeks to help them back to the Absa Premiership before hanging up his boots.

“He feels he can still play for a good two or three more years. He was disappointed that they couldn’t qualify for promotional play-offs position this season and now wants to stay and help the team out again next season. He is still in top shape ans is a good example to the youngsters in the squad.
“He is not playing because he has to, it is because he loves the game. He has made enough money from the game to retire comfortably but he loves the game and wants to continue contributing by helping the team in two ways – grooming the youngsters and also giving a hand on the field whenever he is needed,” said a source.
The former Bafana Bafana striker scored and impressive 15 goals for Usuthu this season.
