Lusciuto resigned from Lidoda Duva after failing to promote the team to the Absa Premiership.
It later emerged that he had agreed to join Free State Stars as their new coach for next season.

“Lusciuto told Leopards that he was going back to Belgium, but now they hear that he is going to coach in the PSL, so they want R3 million before they release him from his contract,” a source close to Leopards told Phakaaathi.
“I hear Stars have approached him so they have to pay R3 million in order to have him. Don’t be surprised to see him return to Leopards, just like [Luc] Eymael returned to [Polokwane] City. The time for coaches to just resign and sign for another teams the following day is long gone. They have to honour their contracts or teams interested in them must pay compensation,” added the source.
Eymael, who had already signed a contract with Bloemfontein Celtic, was ordered to return to Polokwane City by the Premier Soccer League DC.
He reluctantly returned to Rise and Shine after he was threatened with a ban by the PSL.
