Jayiya was released by City last week after his contract ended and could be announced as an Amakhosi player in the near future.
“He started training with the team this week,” said a source.
“He looks sharp and should be signed because he has worked well with coach (Steve) Komphela before (at Maritzburg United) and they understand each other,” said a source.
Jayiya is not the only player Amakhosi are said to be eyeing as rumours have been spreading that the Naturena-based team will swop on former Platinum Stars striker Ndumiso Mabena who was released this week.
