Ex-Sundowns defender hands himself over to police

Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Siyabonga Zulu has handed himself over to the police after being a fugitive for over three months.

Zulu is set to appear in court early next month according to sources close to him.

The 25-year-old has a warrant of arrest out for him after he failed to appear in court to answer to child maintenance charges brought against him by one of his baby mamas.

“He is trying to clean up all his mess so he can have a fresh start. He realised when Sundowns released him that he had messed up. I heard that his people are talking to Kaizer Chiefs and he is likely to join them but he has to clean up first. He is in no hurry because he is a free agent and can sign at any given time even when the transfer window has closed,” claimed the source.
