Former Orlando Pirates coach Ruud Krol looks to have given up on a return to South Africa as he has instructed his management to start negotiations with Pyramids FC of Egypt who have been chasing him for a while, a source has said.

Krol was linked to a move back to his former team Pirates where he is said to have unfinished business after his unceremonious release a few years ago.
Royal AM were also interested but have asked that he wait while they see how John Maduka does before they make big changes.
“He has instructed his people to start negotiating with Pyramids. He has kept them waiting a while and now he wants to go there. He has been in Serbia where he was taking some courses and now is back and wants to get his hands dirty,” said a source.
His South African representative Gerald Baloyi confirmed to Phakaaathi that indeed Krol was now negotiating with Pyramids.
“Yes Pyramids did enquire about his services and we have let them know that he is available and willing to listen to their offer. But we are also negotiating with the Namibian national association over the national team job over there. We will see which one suits him better and let him decide which one he thinks is best,” said Baloyi.
As reported by Phakaaathi earlier, it seems Royal AM bosses will have some tough decisions to make in the near future regarding their technical team.
A source close to Krol revealed that he could take up other offers if the club doesn’t make up their mind soon.
A source said Krol, who was previously with Pirates locally, has had other offers in the Premier Soccer League since it was made public that he is available and willing to come back.
