Ertugral for Polokwane City job?

Phakaaathi has learnt that former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral is one of the candidates considered for the Polokwane City head coach job.

Former Chippa United coach Dan Malesela was said to be the favourite to take over the coaching reins at Rise and Shine, but a source close to the club now tells Phakaaathi that Ertugral could be the man to take over from Bernard Molekwa.

“Molekwa is not cutting it as a coach, so the club has decided to move him back to his previous job as the team manager,” said the source.

“They wanted Dan, but as soon as they heard that Ertugral was available, they decided to go for him. Ertugral did well with Aces, and the club likes his attacking style of play. He is a perfect fit for City,” added the source.

“In the meantime, Molekwa will continue leading City until a replacement is found,” concluded the source.

City’s next game is against Orlando Pirates at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
