End of the road for ex-Chiefs star Ntshangase?

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase’s return to the wilderness is likely to see him hang up his boots at the age of 29.

‘Stash’, as he is affectionately known, was booted out of Black Leopards for ill-discipline. Mgosi Squad has been led to believe that the player would arrive late at training.

However, an informant has told this publication that Ntshangase is likely to call it quits are his debacle with Leopards as he feels there is nothing left for him to offer.

“Deep down he knows that he should be one of the top players in the league and he should be part of the Bafana Bafana set-up. But as life has it, things don’t come to you if you don’t work hard and ‘Stash’; has reached the ceiling in terms of what he can offer, he knows his time is up,” said a source.

The troublesome Ntshangase only made one appearance for Leopards this season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Phakaaathi has been led to believe that the only reason he was allowed back to Lidoda Duvha is because is one of David Thidiela’s favourites and he club owner has always promised him that his door would always be opened for him.

However, Thidiela’s wish was out-voted by the club’s technical team, who argued that “Stash” had to be let go on a matter of principle because it would set bad precedence if he is allowed to disrespect the club and his teammates but is still allowed to continue playing for the team.

In his once promising career, Ntshangase turned out for Baroka FC where he then moved to Kaizer Chiefs soon after. His time at Amakhosi in one to forget as he was labelled as a lazy player, who did not do his best to reach his full potential.
