Orlando Pirates have had a number of players get promoted to the club’s senior team in the last three years, and there is another hot star named Mohau Nkota set to be offered a senior contract, an insider in the Buccaneers has revealed.

The Bucs development player has been doing remarkably well for the club scoring some important goals for coach Mandla Qhogi’s charges in the DStv Diski Challenge. Nkota will be the latest Bucs graduate to earn a first team contract following the promotion of Simiso Bophela, Thabiso Sesane, Azola Tshobeni, Boitumelo Radiopane and Kopano Thuntsane to mention a few.
“That boy has been doing very well in the Diski Challenge and he is a regular scorer for the team. He has made a very good partnership with Radiopane and they are deadly. What I like about Mohau is that he is versatile and can play in attacking positions.
“And he will give his best wherever you put him. The first team technical has been keeping a very close eye on him and they like what they have seen so far. So, soon he will be getting a contract with the first team because you don’t want to lose a player like him to rivals. There’s obviously some people watching out there watching, so the best thing is to secure him soon.
“The future is bright there, trust me my bro. If there is a player that I would bet with my life to shine for Orlando Pirates in the near future it is him, I don’t want to lie. But he has to be guided and monitored because you know with young players, they easily lose out on becoming the superstars they are meant to be once they see the limelight,” said the source.
