Billiat has spent most of this season on the sidelines due to injury, but is on the mend and could be back before the DStv Premiership season ends.
His future with Chiefs has been the subject of rumours for a while now, with the club expected to release a few of their players who will be out of contract.
A source has, however, revealed that Billiat will stay at Chiefs as the technical team feel he can still give them something.

“They understand that with age and injuries he cannot play every game, but his experience is very valuable,” said the source.
“The team has young players in midfield and that shows sometimes, so Billiat’s experience will come in handy helping the young ones find themselves in games.
“Right now Keagan Dolly is doing that by himself on the field. But Billiat also talks to the young ones off the field and is there as a big brother and that is what has influenced the technical team to keep him.
“The club has made sure he gets the best medical assistance available to ensure he recovers well from the injury he is carrying.
“I am not sure how long they will give him, but he will stay for at least another season, ” said the source.
