Chiefs targets frozen out at Thanda
Thanda Royal Zulu are said to be sidelining players who were approached by Kaizer Chiefs during the January transfer window.
A source close to the KwaZulu-Natal national First Division leaders said Mhlengi Cele and Sduduzo Dlamini have not enjoyed much game time since Amakhosi made inquiries about their availability.
“It is unfair on the two players because they didn’t ask Chiefs to try and sign them. A certain agent tried to bring them into his stable when Chiefs came knocking, but they refused and now they feel they are being punished for it and have been kept out of the team,” claimed the source who is close to the players.
Cele scored his 11th goal of the campaign after coming on as a second-half substitute in the 1-1 draw with Mthatha Bucks at the weekend.
