Chiefs star attracts interest as contract talks continue

There are concerns that Pule Ekstein might be lost to Kaizer Chiefs next season as he has yet to sign a contract extension, arousing interest from other teams, a Phakaaathi Plus source has revealed.

Talks between Amakhosi and one of their best performers this season are on-going but no agreement has been reached.

“There hasn’t been anything new in their talks and I think it is financial issues that are delaying the whole process. He is happy to stay and knows he owes the fans so much. But if push comes to shove he can leave. There have been other teams who have been whispering sweet words in his ears and who knows what will happen next,” said a source.

Phakaaathi reported earlier that Ekstein had options available to him including a move to Amakhosi’s bitter rivals Orlando Pirates.
