Word on the street is that they’ve got their eyes on a younger talent to bolster the squad next season.
Hlanti, who’s been holding down the left-back position at Chiefs for four years, recently found himself sidelined in favour of Edmilson Dove. It’s a tough break for him, no doubt.
According to a source in the know, Chiefs have been keeping tabs on Fawaaz Basadien from Stellenbosch FC and are planning to make him an offer once the current campaign wraps up.
The source spilled the beans, saying, “Stellenbosch has given the nod to sell Fawaaz Basadien to Kaizer Chiefs when the season ends.

“Basadien is being lined up as the replacement for Sifiso Hlanti, as the coaching crew has decided not to renew his contract come June.”
So, it looks like Chiefs are gearing up for some changes in their squad, and Basadien might just be the fresh talent they’re looking for.
