Chiefs set to promote young striker
According to sources at Kaizer Chiefs, development striker Itumeleng Shopane could be the next MDC player to be promoted to the senior team.

Amakhosi promoted Wiseman Meyiwa and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo last year.
The striker, who is part of the national Under-20 set-up, is said to have proven himself enough to be part of Steve Komphela’s team and the management at the club is already working on his contract.
“There have been a couple of development players that have been promoted to the senior team in the last two years. The club is working very hard on grooming the future stars of the team. He (Shopane) has a promising career and he has done well for the national team and the MDC. But I think it will be difficult for him break into the first team team, as is the case with Meyiwa and Ngcobo. The plan is to loan them out to get experience in the National First Division or a small team in the PSL,” said the source.
