Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly eyeing former Nkana Football Club striker, Walter Bwalya, who is currently a free agent.

Hailing from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Bwalya has previously played for Al Ahly in Egypt and was associated with Morocco’s Wydad AC.
As Chiefs seek to bolster its squad with a goalkeeper from outside the country, the potential addition of Bwalya might necessitate the departure of one of their foreign players.
This given the Premier Soccer League’s (PSL) limit of five foreign players per team. Presently, Christian Saile, Edson Castillo, Edmilson Dove, and Jasond Gonzalez (on loan) occupy these slots.
Recent indications suggest that Gonzalez may be released to create room for the incoming striker, as he has been absent from the matchday squads.
Not featuring in Cavin Johnson’s plans, Gonzalez, being on loan, might be returned.
While Chiefs have Albert Bwalya from Zambia in their historical roster, signing Walter Bwalya could address the team’s perceived weaknesses in attack.
Chiefs also have some issues with goalkeeping department, and possible reinforcements are anticipated.
Fans eagerly await updates on the coaching front after the departure of Molefi Ntseki, with Cavin Johnson serving as an interim coach.
