Cele holding out for Chiefs move

Cele was the second top goal scorer in the National First Division (NFD) last season with 19 goals in the colours of the now defunct Thanda Royal Zulu and attracted the interest from Amakhosi.

“He is yet to sign for AmaZulu. He was busy last weekend attending to family commitments and was expected to report for duty at AmaZulu this week but he hasn’t gone there,” said the source close to the player.

“He is aware that Chiefs are interested but I am not sure if they have made it official. All we know is that Steve (Khompela) and Bobby (Motaung) once came to a Thanda game to watch him. I think he is talking to them or waiting to see if they come back for him. He was really excited by the prospect of joining them,” added the source.
