Buchanan said to be frustrated at Chiefs
Buchanana has been featuring more for the Chiefs reserve side than the senior team.
A Phakaaathi source at Kaizer Chiefs has revealed to the paper that young midfielder Keagan Buchanan is not happy with the way things have unfolded since he arrived at the Naturena club last year.
Buchanan was a regular at Bloemfontein Celtic, playing week in week out, but things have turned out very differently at Amakhosi, with the player featuring more for the reserve side than the senior team.
“Keagan is a talented player, but things are tough at Chiefs. Remember, when he joined the club the coach already had experienced players in his position. It was always going to be tough for him to break into the team, but he needs to step up his game and fight for his place in the starting line-up,” said the source.
Meanwhile, Chiefs are said to be considering releasing Zambian striker Lewis Macha to open up space for a foreign player.
Chiefs are reportedly interested in Zimbabwean forward Kuda Machachi and in order to sign him, they will have to make space by getting rid of one of the current foreigners in their squad.
And according to a source close to Chiefs, the club has identified Macha as the player to make way for Mahachi.
