Billiat advised not to join Chiefs or Pirates

Khama Billiat is unsure of his future and it appears he will stay on at Mamelodi Sundowns if no offer from overseas comes through.

A source close to the player said Billiat’s close friends who are also players in the Absa Premiership have advised him against joining either Orlando Pirates or Kaizer Chiefs.

“There is politics involved in the matter. There are two foreign former Pirates players who told him he would be committing career suicide if he went there while another told him that at Chiefs he would have to be under a certain player’s guidance if he is to survive,” said the source.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier by Phakaaathi, Sundowns are set to lose Khama Billiat for free in June when his current deal with the club expires.
