Reports suggest that Mamelodi Sundowns have tabled an offer for the midfielder with the club’s chairman, confirming that Sundowns have enquired about the 23-year-old’s services.
“It’s every player’s dream to play in the Big Three in the PSL,” Mekoa says. “If I could move there it’ll be a big achievement as a youngster because I always want to play for one of the big Gauteng sides. I’m working hard towards that, and if it comes, I’ll take it.
“At the moment I’m not desperate, and my focus is still here. I still have a contract,” he adds. “But it’s everybody’s dream to play in the Champions League. It’s a very good competition with the exposure … it’s how [Keagan] Dolly got seen by Montpellier.”
