According to IOL, Asavela Mbekile and Vincent Pule have agreed to join Pirates from Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits respectively.
Pule’s contract with the Clever Boys expired at the end of the 2017/2018 season. The 26-year-old was linked with Kaizer Chiefs before signing with a new team.
“Pule and Mbekile have signed for Pirates. They will be unveiled at the end of the month but I can tell you that they will playing their football at Pirates next season,” a source told Independent Media.
Pule and Mbekile’s agent, Tim Sukazi confirmed to the publication that they have both signed for a “new club”.
“Mbekile and Pule have both signed for their new clubs. You guys must do your job and find out which clubs did they sign for. I can safely tell you that Pule didn’t sign for Chiefs,” Sukazi said.
“It was a media speculation that he signed a pre-contract with Chiefs. Their clubs will announce them, not me,” he concluded.
