The left back is currently nursing an injury and according to his agent, Mike Makaab, talks of a new contract have been put on hold until he recovers from it.

“It is difficult to discuss Tsepo’s future with Chiefs because he is injured. The guys that are playing in his place are doing a good job,” Makaab told Isolezwe.

“Once he is fit to play we can start planning. We hope he recovers quickly, after that we can sit down and start discussing his future.”

In Masilela’s absence, Philani Zulu has been sharing the left back responsibilities with Siphosakhe Ntiyantiya, who was recently promoted from the club’s development structures.
