Mashaba reveals he was fire by Spurs via SMS
Former Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba says National First Division side Witbank Spurs informed him via SMS that they are no longer in need of his services.

Spurs made the announcement last week that Mashaba had been sacked as the club’s coach. Mashaba was in charge of nine games before he was shown the exit door by the struggling NFD side.
Siyavutha’s chairman Themba Mafu took over as the club’s interim coach before they appointed former Bafana Bafana star Kagiso Dikgacoi as the permanent head coach.
“I just saw an SMS saying they are firing me. They never had the decency of calling me. I am very disappointed. I expected them to be professional,” he told Sowetan.
Spurs CEO Freddie Mapulane dismissed Mashaba’s claims that he was fired via an SMS.
“That’s not true that we fired Mashaba via an SMS. We sat down, we had a meeting and we agreed that he must leave the club,” said Mapulane.
