Mashaba was sacked by Spurs last week, and Mapulane was quoted in the media as saying that Mashaba was released because of poor results.
Mashaba, however, has challenged Mapulane to tell the truth as to why he was let go a few games before the end of the season.
“I don’t know what he means by saying things didn’t go the way he had hoped, what is he referring to by that,” Mashaba told Isolezwe.
“If an official at a club speaks, he has to tell the truth, the real reason why it happened (his firing) but he is avoiding it. He is trying to appear as a good person and it scares me that Mapulane would speak like this.”
It is reported that Spurs players have gone for months without receiving their salaries and that could be the reason why the team is not doing well.
