Maritzburg United have confirmed they have released midfielder Gregory Maasdorp upon the player’s request following a lack of game time.
Maasdorp was brought into the team by former coach Ernst Middendorp last season from Bloemfontein Celtic. The team’s communication manager, Brian Zuma, wished Maasdorp well on his future on the club’s website.
“We have released Gregory on his request. He has not been playing, so it’s only fair to allow him the opportunity to try his luck for game time elsewhere. We wish the boy good luck for the future,” said Zuma.
