Kadodia says they enquired about the midfielder in June from Chiefs, but were told that he was in coach Steve Komphela’s plans for this season.
“We wanted Buchanan during the June transfer window, but Bobby Motaung told us that the player was in Chiefs’ plans for this season,” Kadodia told Isolezwe.

Kadodia added that Maritzburg will be happy to have Buchanan if he is available during the January transfer period.
“If Chiefs allows us to talk to him then we would be happy to have him at the club even if it is on loan, because he is a quality player.”
