Peprah joins Maritzburg after failing to get game time at the Buccaneers, where he only managed to make six appearances this season and did not score a single goal.
Also joining Maritzburg are former Mamelodi Sundowns forward Ali Meza and ex-Newcastle United development player Bradley Cross who signed permanent deals with the Team of Choice.
“Maritzburg United Football Club are delighted to announce the acquisitions of Ali Meza, Bradley Cross and Kwame Peprah,” the club wrote on the Twitter account.
“Meza and Cross will join the Team of Choice on permanent deals whilst Peprah arrives on loan from Orlando Pirates.”
Meza, meanwhile, re-joins Maritzburg after being without a club since last year in June. He left the Team of Choice in January, 2022 to join Bolivian side Always Ready, but he only spent six months with the club.
Cross played for Newcastle United’s Under-21s and Under-23s, as well as Schalke Under-19 in Germany.
The defender began his youth career back home with Black Aces, before moving to Bidvest Wits.
