Malesela’s agony continue as son dies

A few weeks after making history by leading National First Division side TS Galaxy to a victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final, coach Dan Malesela has lost his eldest son.


Katlego Tumediso Malesela, who worked in Qatar as a fashion designer, died last Saturday. He was 32.

“We are saddened to announce the passing of our Head Coach’s eldest son, Katlego Tumediso Malesela (32), who passed on last Saturday while on duty outside the country. Our sincere condolences to the Malesela family – you are in our prayers. Further details will be made available,” read a tweet from TS Galaxy.

The news about Malesela’s son comes just days after the burial of Galaxy player Thembinkosi Mbamba who died in a car accident two weeks ago.

Mbamba was buried over the weekend.
