Malawian striker Ngalande set for SA return

Former Ajax Cape Town and Bidvest Wits striker Robin Ngalande is said to be in South Africa to hold talks with Maritzburg United.

Ngalande returned to Malawi towards the end of last season after he was released by Wits.

He signed a one-year contract with Master Security Services, where he was handed the captaincy.

Master Security Services general secretary Zacharia Nyirenda confirmed to Nyasa Times on Wednesday that Ngalande had flown to South Africa.

“What I can say is that Robin Ngalande is in South Africa, and at the meantime, I cannot tell you whether he will undergo trials or be given an outright contract,” said Nyirenda.

“But the player has a running one-year contract he signed with Master Security effective April 2017,” added Nyirenda.

Ngalande also played for Platinum Stars in South Africa.
