Mahlasela joined Amakhosi from Bloemfontein Celtic on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
“This is a dream come true for me, and I’m happy that I am part of this big institution,” Mahlasela told the club’s website.
“The welcome by the chairman, staff, coaches and team mates has been phenomenal. I am looking forward to engaging with the supporters,” he added.
Mahlasela is fully aware of the pressure that comes with playing for a team like Chiefs and is keen to repay all those who kept faith in him.
“I am aware of the pressure that comes with playing for Kaizer Chiefs. The only way to repay those who recommended me to the Kaizer Chiefs management and to keep the supporters happy is to work hard and make sure we do well as a team – this way our names will be added to the glorious history of the club,” commented Mahlasela.
“Walking around the offices and seeing the trophies in the cabinet and the professional way the team is run is motivating enough, and I will not let anyone down,” he concluded.
