Amakhosi announced Mahlasela’s signing on their official Twitter account.
“Kaizer Chiefs would like to confirm the signing of attacking midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela from Bloemfontein Celtic on a 2 and a half year deal with a one year option,” read the club tweet.
“I’m grateful to be here. I believe I can grow and also help the team.” said Mahlasela.
Earlier, Phakaaathi reported that Mahlasela was set to snub Orlando Pirates and join Chiefs.

He was previously said to be on his way to Orlando Pirates but sources close to him advised him against the move as there are too many players similar to him at the Buccaneers.
Mahlasela becomes Chiefs’ second signing of the current transfer period after Amakhosi announced Leonardo Castro’s capture. Castro joins Chiefs from Mamelodi Sundowns.
