Free State Stars have been dealt a huge blow with defender Rooi Mahamutsa said to have suffered a long term injury which could see him out for the rest of the season.

Phakaaathi has learnt that the former Orlando Pirates player is out with an injury.
“Mahamutsa is out for rest of the season,” said a source. “He was a big part of the new coach’s plans but it seems he will have to make do without him,” added the source.

Mahamutsa joined Ea Lla Koto from the Buccaneers last season and played a huge role in ensuring the Free State based team survive relegation.
Stars will take on Baroka FC at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
