Macufe festival organiser wants to save Celtic

Moseme is said to be keen to help keep Siwelele in Bloemfontein.

Prominent Bloemfontein businessman Ben Moseme is said to be interested in saving Bloemfontein Celtic, but some section of the club’s supporters are not fond of the idea, a source at the club has revealed to Phakaaathi.

With reports suggesting that Celtic players are not receiving their salaries and that current owner Max Tshabalala is owing the South African Revenue Services more than R40 million, Moseme is said to be keen to help keep Siwelele remain in Bloemfontein.

“The team needs to be saved and the only person who can do that now is Mr Moseme, but some of our supporters don’t think he is the right person to run the team and he might be working with Max. But we need him, he loves Celtic and we don’t want to see the club getting relocated,” said the source.

“The thing is, there are also rumours that Ajax Cape Town might buy our status and we don’t want that. The supporters need to give Mr Moseme a chance and let him rescue the club.”

Celtic were close to being sold to businesspeople Sinki Leshababane and Moeketsi Mosola, but the deal fell through last week.
