Mabasa focusing on job, not on Celtic’s financial woes

Bloemfontein Celtic striker Tshegofatso Mabasa says his job is on the field and not in the office.

Mabasa, who scored a brace for Celtic in their 2-2 draw with Baroka last Sunday, admits that the club is facing a lot of challenges, but has called on his teammates to focus on getting results in their last 10 league games.

“As players we don’t need to focus on anything that has to be dealt with by the management, we focus on what we have to do and they focus on what they have to do, we need to do well in each game,” Mabasa told Phakaaathi.

“In the game of football you need to adapt to the situation of the coach coming or going the quicker the better. We talk a lot as teammates especially about converting the chances we create. I know I have the support of my teammates and they have my support.”

Siwelele are in fifth position on the log despite losing coach Steve Komphela half way through the season and players going on strike several times over unpaid wages.
