Live report: Maritzburg United vs Platinum Stars
Maritzburg United will be looking to avoid an eighth straight match without victory when they welcome Platinum Stars to the Harry Gwala Stadium for their opening Telkom Knockout encounter of the season on Friday.

The Team of Choice started their campaign like a house on fire back in August, but the tables have turned horribly since then.
Apart from their struggles to win on the field, there has also been a major distraction off the pitch after young midfielder Mlondi Dlamini tragically died in a car accident earlier this month. But the club have slowly started to pick up the pieces and an away Premiership draw at Chippa United last week can be counted as a step in the right direction as they look to find the spark that made them the talk of the town in the early weeks of the campaign when they also reached the MTN8 semi-finals.
Like United, Stars too have their own problems. They axed Peter Butler just two games into the term and replaced him with Roger de Sa, the man who lead the Team of Choice for a few months earlier in the year before being replaced by Fadlu Davids.
