Benni McCarthy's Cape Town City will be out to avoid a third successive league defeat when they host Polokwane City on Friday night.

The Citizens made a blistering start to the season by winning their opening six matches; three in the league, and three in the MTN8, including a 1-0 victory over Polokwane City in the opening round of the cup.
However, back-to-back defeats in the space of a week away to the two Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, has provided McCarthy with his first real test since he took charge this season.
