Last season’s champions Bidvest Wits are currently propping up the foot of the league table, four points adrift of safety after claiming only three points from the last available 21 and having won only twice all season.
SuperSport, Wits coach Gavin Hunt’s former employers, have picked up only four points from their last six outings and are 12th on the table, four points above the drop zone, although they do have several games in hand on the rest of the league.
And while the Clever Boys approach Wednesday night’s encounter at the Bidvest Stadium (19H30) having been beaten at home by Free State Stars, Matsatsantsa were at least able to salvage a credible 0-0 draw against Kaizer Chiefs.
