Gavin Hunt’s side spent a lengthy period at the top of the Absa Premiership table in recent months but now find themselves down in fourth place after collecting just five points from a possible 15 in their last five matches.

Their last three encounters have netted them just a single point thanks to a draw with Mamelodi Sundowns and losses against Cape Town City and Highlands.

Hunt will be desperate to stop the rot against Amazulu this weekend and get their season back on track, and he’s more than happy to try and do that away from home considering how poor their form has been at the Bidvest Stadium in 2019.

“Right now, I don’t want to play at home, because we can’t win,” Hunt told The Star. “In the first round we beat all these teams away, (Orlando) Pirates, (Kaizer) Chiefs, Cape Town City, but in the second round, we haven’t done it.

“That’s the disappointing part. We can organise and get everyone settled, but the individual mistakes are crazy.”

Meanwhile, Amazulu have their own ambitions and will be eager to create a bit more daylight between themselves and the relegation zone by bouncing back from a run of two straight defeats against Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United.

They’ll have to try and do it without Samuel Darpoh, however, who will be stuck on the sidelines due to serving a suspension.
