Letsoaka seeks to widen gap

Ea Lla Koto are currently in 14th place in the Absa Premiership standings and are four and five points clear of the Lions of the North and Bakgaga respectively.

Letsoaka’s team will host Highlands on Sunday, and the former Golden Arrows and Bloemfontein Celtic mentor said they need to win this game to move to safety.

“We need to pick ourselves up for the next match against Highlands Park at home and make sure we collect maximum points to ensure that we leave a bigger gap between them and us,” said Letsoaka.

He bemoaned silly mistakes for their defeat at the hands of Maritzburg United last weekend, saying they could have come out with a better result.

The Team of Choice had to come from behind to register a 2-1 win after Mohamed Annas had put Ea Lla Koto ahead in the first half.

“We played periodically and there were stages where the team was trying to play but we never really got to the second and third gear and I think that really killed us.

“Secondly we made a lot of passing mistakes in very crucial areas from the players that we really trust, thus it made us to turn and defend.

“Maritzburg came very strong in the second-half, they made good changes at the right time. On the other hand our substitutions did not really make an impact in the game,” said Letsoaka.
