Leopards learnt on Tuesday that they will face Platinum Stars instead of Ajax Cape Town in their first promotional/relegation playoff game.
Ajax, however, applied for a court interdict this morning to prevent the playoffs from taking place and the court is yet to make a ruling with just under two hours before kick-off.

“Since this started we had been following the case closely because we knew that it could affect who our opponent in the play off id,” Mulaudzi told Phakaaathi.
“On Sunday we thought it was Ajax but things changed, but we had been preparing for all the teams that could have played in the playoffs from the PSL, including Baroka, Platinum Stars, Ajax, SuperSport, all of them. We watched all of them closely. Because we couldn’t tell who was coming.
“Yesterday, after we found out that it was Stars, we put all our focus for Tuesday’s training session on Platinum Stars.”
Leopards have a habit of reaching the playoffs and failing to gain promotion to top flight football.
“I think in the past it has always been us failing to get maximum points in the first game, and our away game. That is where the problem starts, now we know that we need to collect the points early so that with the last match against Cosmos we know if we are in.”
